This week on The Because Show podcast they had Pilar Alessandra on as a guest. She is a self-employed screenwriter consultant and had a great talk. It wasn’t so much concentrated on screenwriting but more in the realm of starting your own business and useful advice for surviving in general in the working world. Something in particular that she said that really struck me was what she called the door test.
When you go to work, and your at the door, do you hesitate and not want to turn that doorknob?
It sounds so simple, but it is a great litmus test for deciding when to move on. I have had that sense of dread, it literally sucks the life out of you.
A good thought to ponder heading into the weekend and an almost week long vacation!
