Thanksgiving Snack Mix

The holidays and Chex mix are a perfect match.  Though when isn’t a good time for Chex mix.  I love this combo and your house is sure to smell like Thanksgiving when you cook it up in the oven too.

Pumpkin Pie Chex Mix
Author: Snack
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 60 mins
Total time: 1 hour 5 mins
Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1 T. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 2 t. vanilla extract
  • 2 C. cinnamon Chex cereal
  • 2 C. wheat Chex cereal
  • 2 C. honey nut Chex cereal
  • 6 oz. pecans
Instructions
  1. Heat over to 275 degrees.
  2. Mix cereals and pecans in large roasting pan.
  3. Melt butter and stir in vanilla, pour over cereal. Mix to coat.
  4. Combine brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Mix to coat.
  5. Bake for an hour, stir every 15 minutes.

      I added some dried cherries to this when I made it this weekend. . . .nummy.
