Let It Snow!

Posted on January 11, 2011September 7, 2012 by Jacky Hackett
The sun is shining, the sky is dropping big fat flakes of snow, no better time for a hot cocoa.  Not that packaged stuff, the real thing.  No marshmallows required with this hot cocoa, it is delicious.
Classic Hot Cocoa

1/4 C. Cocoa Powder, unsweetened
1/2 C. Sugar
dash of kosher salt
Milk, warmed

Combine dry ingredients and stir into warm milk.  I use about 1 T. of mix per cup of milk, adjust to taste.

A simple yet decadent treat!

OMG, Jacky, at first glance I thought that was for one serving! Ha! Yep, nothing like good hot chocolate – have you ever made homemade marshamllows? They are super easy and they take a really long time to melt in cocoa.

While these are apple cider marshmallows, just sub water for the cider.

I would need one heck of a mug for that! I have never made marshmallows, I will have to give them a try. The recipe looks great!
