Is it wrong to need a nap before 9:30 a.m.? I can barely keeps my eyes open. It is always so fun to witness the kids excitement. Brought me right back to when I was a kid, the anticipation of heading down the stairs and seeing what was left under the Christmas tree. Spending the day reading your new book, examining each new item, hanging in your PJs as long as you can.
We plowed through the gifts, ate some breakfast, played some Wii. Now we are watching the Wallace & Gromit complete collection. With still hours to spare before lunch.
Everyone was happy with what Santa brought. Though all we really want or need is to have Grandpa happy and healthy. He had open heart surgery on Christmas Eve. The surgery went well, though he has been experiencing some complications. He is a strong guy and we are optimistic he will be on the road to recovery soon. The next 72 hours are crucial, so send good vibes his way for a happy healthy Grandpa!
